Pounds lost - 3
Well I have good news and bad news. The bad news is, I only lost 1 pound this week. I know what you're thinking; that's good news, isn't it? And I am thankful that I lost weight at all, but if you only knew how hard I have worked out this week. Well, for me anyway. Which leads me to the good news. I started out the week running on the treadmill 5 minutes at a time. Five walk, five run, five walk, five run, etc. for a total of 35 minutes. It's also worth mentioning that I increased the speed slightly each time I ran. By the end of the week, I ran 20 minutes! In a row! Without stopping! I feel strong. I feel like running up a mountain. Maybe I'll do that someday.

Stressful week
It's official - I'm a stress eater. This week has been very stressful for us. My husband replaced the dishwasher on Monday and two days later, the water heater went out. By FRIDAY we still didn't know why we didn't have any hot water, and I couldn't stop eating! At least I can say that I binged on healthy foods. Once on tofu lasagna and once on a chicken breast sub from Subway(since by this time we had no clean dishes). Could have been worse, I guess. Back on the wagon I go.

Two Things...
Week 2 Pounds Lost: 2
First of all, YAY! I lost 2 pounds this week. Two down and about 9 million to go. At least it feels that way.
Second, I have to put up a disclaimer. I was watching The Biggest Loser the other night, and much to my surprise they are also having a pound for pound challenge. I must have remembered it back in my sub-conscious somewhere. Sorry Biggest Loser. I wasn't trying to rip off your idea. So I'll have to re-name mine "Gwen's pound 4 pound challenge". I'm still sticking with it, though. So start saving up that food!

Temptation
Day 1

When I woke up this morning, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a large iced mocha cappacino on my nightstand. Bless my husband's little sabotaging heart. Undeterred, I weighed myself and was happy to find that I had only gained one pound over the holidays. Then I drank half the coffee and threw the rest away. The fridge is stocked up with healthy food and I sent all the Christmas goodies with hubby to work. Ate pretty good today (except for the cappacino) but was too busy cleaning to exercise. Cleaning counts as exercise, right? Not off to a fantastic start. Baby steps. I'm not ready to share my weight yet, but I will keep you updated as to how many pounds I lose.
